The Workshop!

Parents,

This week we are focusing heavily on our writing skills to prepare for the STAAR Writing Test.  We sure have come a long way!  As we finish our writing, I will let students bring home their masterpieces so that they can share them with you, but they will need to bring them back to keep in their writing workshop binder.  Please give them praise for all of their hard work they've been doing and encourage your child to read at home, as reading helps develop writing styles. 

Additionally, the 4th grade will be holding a Writing Rally on Saturday, March 24th from 9-11am. This is completely optional, but I highly recommend attendance because students are able to target any last minute issues and hone in on their craft.  (A note was sent home about this last week.) This is more of a laid-back day to boost the confidence of our wonderful writers. Ms. Cini has also graciously offered to provide a small breakfast for all 4th graders in attendance. I would love to see ALL of my students at the Writing Rally!
